Research Areas: philosophy of science and technology, history of science and technology, Chinese culture and civilization

Professor Wang Hongsheng is President of the Beijing Society for Philosophy of Nature, Science and Technology. He has published some works, including "A World History of Science and Technology", "Science and Technology in Chinese History", "Science and Technology in the People's Republic of China". From August 2004 to August 2005, he was a senior research fellow at Chung Ang University in Seoul, South Korea, and completed "A Study on Nature and Limits of Confucianism" during his stay. From June to August 2012, he was a visiting professor at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, while joining the project on "Human Dignity in the context of Bioethics - China and the West". His key monograph is "The Waterfalls and Gorge of China's History: the Cultural Structure and Transformation of Chinese Civilization" (2007).
