Research Areas: philosophy of science and technology, STS, philosophy of culture, communication

Professor Lin Jian is a senior editor of the Journal of Renmin University of China, part-time professor of the School of Philosophy of Renmin University of China, and secretary of the Beijing Society for Philosophy of Nature, Science and Technology. He was an international scholar of the Korean Foundation for Advanced Studies and a visiting Professor at Yonsei University, Wonju Campus 2005-2006.

In recent years, he has successfully hosted some state-level key subjects, such as "Integration Mechanism of Scientific & Technological Innovation and cultural Innovation" and "Research on the history and culture in East Asia." He has published some works including The Evolution of Scientific and Technological Communication; Discipline of Corporate Culture and Culture of Samsung; On the Integration of Innovation: Study on the Integrative Machinism of Scientific Innovation and Cultural Innovation. His papers include: "Whole System Evolution and Blown-up" published in the International Institute for General Systems Studies, the Third Workshop, System Science and its Applications; "On the Information Selection of Scientific and Technical Communication" presented at the International Conferences about Science and Culture; "On the Rising of the Knowledge Management and its Significance" presented at the International Society for the Systems Sciences, ISSS, 2002; "On the Management Model and Corporate Culture in Eastern Asia" presented at the Economics Joint Conference 2006; "Research on the Corporate Culture in East Asian Corporations" presented at the Annual meeting of the Korean Society for Social Ethics.
