Western Philosophy Workshop

March 7, 2013 - June 13, 2013

6:30 pm, 621 Renwen

This workshop has been established to function as a reading group and as a forum to present papers. For the reading group part of this workshop we plan to read through one or two books (depending on how fast we go) - one chapter a week. Each week a student will present on the reading and lead a discussion based on the reading. For the paper presentation part of this workshop we will schedule prospective presenters in advance. Papers will be circulated a week before the presentation so participants will come prepared to give feedback to the author. The schedule will rotate between the reading group and the paper presentation forum. We will spend two weeks on the former then a week on the latter. The workshop will be held every Thursday night. If you would like to present a paper, lead a discussion, or have any questions or suggestions please contact the student representative, Junhai Zhao (seaingz@163.com), or the faculty representative, Daniel Lim (daniel.f.lim@gmail.com).
